Teleteg is built on a simple principle: we collect as little data as possible, and we never share it with anyone. This policy explains exactly what minimal information we handle and why.

1. What data we collect

We collect only what is strictly necessary to operate the service:

  • Email address and hashed password — required to create and protect your account. We never store or see your password in plain text.
  • Telegram login — if you register via Telegram, we store your Telegram username instead of an email address.
  • Contact form submissions — your name and email, used solely to respond to your request and then deleted.

We do not collect your real name, phone number, physical address, location data, payment card details, or any device or browser fingerprinting data.

2. What we index from Telegram

Teleteg indexes publicly available Telegram channel and group metadata — username, title, member count, language, and activity metrics. This is identical to the information visible to any Telegram user without an account. We do not index private messages, personal user profiles, phone numbers, or any content from private communities.

3. How we use your data

  • To authenticate your account and maintain your session
  • To send transactional emails only — account confirmation and billing receipts. No newsletters or marketing emails without your explicit opt-in.
  • To detect and block abusive or automated behaviour

4. Data sharing — we don't

We do not sell, rent, share, or disclose your personal data to any third party — ever. No advertising networks, no analytics platforms that profile you, no data brokers, no partners. Your data exists solely on our servers and is used only to provide you with the service.

Payments are processed by third-party payment providers under their own security standards. We receive only a transaction confirmation — no card details ever reach our servers.

5. Cookies

We use only a single session cookie required for login. No advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, no analytics pixels of any kind.

6. Data retention

Account data is kept for as long as your account is active. Search logs are retained for up to 90 days and then automatically deleted. Contact form data is deleted once your request is resolved. You can request full account deletion at any time.

7. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us on Telegram: @teleteg_support. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are stored as one-way cryptographic hashes. Access to user data is restricted to essential system operations only.

9. Children

Teleteg is not directed at anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has registered an account, contact us and we will delete it immediately.

10. Changes

If we make a material change to this policy, we will notify registered users and update the date above. Our core commitment — minimal collection and zero sharing — will not change.
